Progress on Easy Street and BIMB Row Along

I have had a very productive weekend, and it is not even over yet!

The two first parts of Easy Street are completed, and Row#8 in Bee In My Bonnet Row Along is also done.

Easy Street: 128 flying geese and 192 4-patches

BIMB: All the 8 rows on my porch in poor winter daylight

BIMB: Left part of row#8

BIMB: Right part of row#8

The rest of the day will be dedicated to basting a twin sized quilt for my son, and maybe I will be able to just start on Part 3 of Bonnie's Mystery.

One Christmas gift finished

In October I attended a class with Mrs Moen on the technique 'Layer upon layer', or 'Painting with fibre'. I am sorry to say that I have not completed any of the projects I started there. But, today I got the inspiration to try the technique on a design of my own. I needed to make a Christmas gift to a friend in Sweden, and it needs to be posted the coming weekend to reach her before Christmas Eve. Then I just had to sit down and get creative, and a mini quilt of approx. 6.5" x 8" is the result. It is a small wall hanging, and I am pretty pleased with the result.

No daylight available for picture taking, so my lamps would have to do. First the one without flash:

I have started Easy Street

Yesterday I finally decided to start on Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt this year; Easy Street. This far I have made 70 4-patches and 8 flying geese. I do this in-between assembling a twin-sized quilt for my son. It will be a little back-and-forth between these projects.

For Easy Street I am using a grey "Christmas fabric" I bought last year on sale, it does not have very much design in it. I also got a some black and white Dr. Seuss fabric on sale. I still have a lot of 4-patches and geese to make.

This is a fun project to have joined, and it is my first Mystery. I look forward to the coming steps! Now I have to work on my other quilt project.

Rowing along with 7 rows

Today I got good pictures of my rows in the Row Along. There is no snow on my porch, but it is freezing cold, around minus 8 degrees Celsius (~18 deg F). My porch is creaking like crazy!

Here is daylight picture of row #7:

And here are all the 7 rows made so far:
