Making my very first Bow Tie Quilt was inspired by Amanda of @prairiequiltco . A great way to use the scraps that have been piling up over the years.
A photo shoot outside in daylight is always the best. Here in front of a Rowan tree with loads of red berries scattered around.
Finished size of the quilt is 48" x 60". It is quilted by me on my domestic machine with a meander & leaf design.
The backing is a fabric with hundreds of moose, perfect for this time of year when the hunting season has started.
The Rowan berries are really plentiful this year, last year there were next to nothing.
Hanging over the porch wall the quilting is more visible in the low sun rays. The binding is a scrappy one from a sunflower fabric line.
This is my second charity quilt for the year 2026, and number 117 all time for the children's ward at the hospital.
