Last night I finished the blocks for my Modern Buzz Saw quilt, and ended up with this layout. The 3x4 block layout will be a great size for a charity quilt.
All the fabrics are from stash/scraps, and lots of them are recycled shirts. It is a great feeling not to buy anything new for this quilt, but I don't really see much "shrinkage" in my stash, either.
I think I will add a border to make the quilt a little bit bigger when it is assembled. Will it be a scrappy one, or a solid? Time will show.
Love it! It's always amazing when we can use our stash but still no dent in it!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Love the layout you chose. It is fun to use up some of those scraps we all hold on it. Know the recipient will cherish it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great quilt!! From your picture I finally figured out the difference between Buzz Saw and Majestic Mountains - thanks for the enlightenment!!!
