First Finish in 2019

My first finish for this year is the mystery quilt-along I joined as 2018 turned into 2019. Kim Lapacek of Persimon Dreams hosted the week long mystery/QAL, and the result was this great-looking, scrappy wall hanging/table runner.

I dug into my scraps for this project, cut lots of 2.5" squares, and had lots of fun piecing this wall hanging. It was a great, little break from piecing my January ambassador quilt. I free-motion quilted the wall hanging with matching colors, and it will be a great addition to my sewing room wall.

Keep on quilting!

  1. I came to your blog for the Getaway blog hop and noticed the Project Quilting mystery quilt! I also did one, but I swapped it around and added more squares to make it say "Q<3ILT" instead. I'm fairly new to the online quilting community so I really enjoy recognizing various bloggers as I participate in more sew-alongs and other activities!
