Yesterday block #10 was released in Blogger's BOM, and I managed to complete it the same day!
Now I really can say that I am up to date, and I can relax during my summer vacation. I took all the 10 blocks out on my lawn for a photo-shoot, and two seconds after the picture was taken the wind took them and they were all over the place! I managed to rescue them, though.

Another finish
DS1 is modeling the cape, and the quilt inspector is observing closely.
In the background you can see our abundance of rhubarb, one of the few things that are easy to grow here. We've enjoyed quite a few pies, lately!

Summer tablecloth
The last few days I have been working on my new summer tablecloth. Today I finished it, and it really looks nice.
The colors remind me of summer breeze and a day at the beach. I get the urge to put my toes it the salty ocean water when I look at the design of the fabric. The temperature is also helping with the summer feeling, it is really warm now!

Bento Box finish!
Here is my latest finish, my modified Bento Box runner that I named 'Fall in a Box'.
I really like the fall colors, they look so good on display in the forest in spring. The table runner is quilted with variegated golden/brown thread in a simple wavy design. Since the fabrics are kind of busy, the binding is a solid coffee-brown color. That calms the quilt down a bit.
I even got my DS1 with me on the walk in the forest today, and he actually agreed to "model" the quilt for me.
The promised picture of the apple blossom will have to wait, because today it was too cold for the flowers to open.

Apple blossom
The blooming of my apple tree is a little late this year, due to a pretty cold spring. But this weekend the sun and the warm temperatures came to jump start the blooming. I guess I will be able to post the whole tree in full bloom tomorrow.
In-between enjoying the heat and BBQ'ing outside, I have finished quilting my modified bento box runner. I will start on the binding tonight, and hopefully there will be some nice pictures to show off tomorrow.

Modified Bento Box
Today I finished the top of my Modified Bento Box table runner. Could you see this result emerging from my previous post?
The top looks nice on display in my old plum tree, catching the last rays of sunlight. Now I have to decide how to quilt it. The table runner will be a great gift, and a nice surprise when I hand it over during summer.
