Purple Charity Quilt

My first charity quilt for the year was very fast to make. I "inherited" lots of fabrics from a guild member who has given up quilting. Among the fabric was this purple panel with houses and trees. If you don't look closely you can be fooled to think it is machine appliquéd. I added a purple solid border around the panel.

I had a cute paisley print that I used for backing, and quilted with lavender colored thread in a cross hatch design.

The finished quilt is 32.5" x 48.5". From this picture in the snow you can see that the paisley print on the back matches the print on some of the different "fabrics" in the "patchwork" panel on the front

This is my first charity quilt for the year 2021, and number 65 all time for the children's ward at the hospital.

Keep on quilting!

  1. So pretty! Yes, I did think it was applique! I really like the colors in this. What a great panel!
