January's second finish!

The tablerunner is completed. I like the colors, they give me a nice feeling of spring. The picture shows the hand quilted details.

 

My new project is coming along

I have now started hand-quilting the tablerunner. This is the first time for me, and I have some sore fingertips! Tomorrow, I hope to have finished two projects in january; one wallhanging and one tablerunner. Here is a photo of the work in progress.

A new project

The new project will be a small tablerunner for good neighbors that helped us this winter. One block is already finished, and number two is almost done. I think this will be a cute one, and I know I will enjoy making it.

A finished quilt!

I finished my quilt late last night, and the binding is on. Here is a picture which I hope is able to show some details of the quilting. The main part is stitched in the ditch, but the border has a 'homemade' design. I am not an experienced quilter, but I am eager to learn!

A new project will hopefully be started tomorrow.

Finally a picture

Yesterday the wind was too strong to take my quilt top out on a photo session. This gave me an opportunity to get on with the quilting. Now, only the border is left to quilt, and I have to decide on the design.

Tomorrow, in daylight, I will take a picture of it out in the snow. In the mean time you can enjoy this nice watercolor.

Apart from quilting, I also love to read. When the sewing projects take a bigger and bigger part of my time, audiobooks becomes the solution.
